In SIMPL™, all dates are considered to be Events, and have attributes such as email notification lists, descrip
tions, notification dates, etc. Also, each registered user has an individual calendar on which these events are visually created and maintained. Events also have notification “scopes” such as individual, schoolwide, district wide, etc. This capability is very useful in letting responsible persons know in advance that a critical milestone is approaching. It can also be used to prompt for important Improvement Plan status reviews or for any number of date related issues.At right is an example of an event definition, and following that, how that event would appear on the individual’s calendar.
